Sunday we moved from the conference hotel to a motel in north Raleigh. I had hoped to have a day off to do some shooting, but the weather was nasty and cold, and it turned out that the UNC library in Chapel Hill was open for research for a few hours. Off we went, and the photo of the day today shows what I was really focusing on — old documents and records in original and abstracted form. Not even a good photo — taken with my little Canon 850IS point and shoot, but this is what my days were filled with for most of the research trip!
