I have resolved to become a better photographer this year. In particular, I would like to learn enough so that I have some confidence that I will know what to do when faced with a specific situation, rather than guessing, as I do now. I would like to look at a scene and think about the f stop and shutter speed that would be best, rather than shooting in Av mode at f8 and hoping the shot turns out.
And one way to learn to be a better photographer is to photograph more. So I am going to do my best to take at least some shots every day in 2009. Three hundred and sixty five days of images. I have no illusions that I’ll be able to produce a good shot every day. But I will be happy if my shots on day 365 are consistently better than my shots on day 1.
